Sometimes a simple extension or addition is all it takes to turn a dark and boring old home into a stylish modern hub fit for an urbane family. Once a grand Victorian villa and then a more modest traditional British house was in need of an urgent upgrade as its homeowners wanted to transform its ambiance and appeal completely.
This was accomplished by using a custom-crafted box made out of sterling boards that sits at the heart of the revamped apartment. The cool box holds a dashing kitchen in black on the outside a loft bed that acts as the bedroom and a home workstation that offers ample storage space.
The small living area with its textured wall cozy fireplace and colorful Moroccan-style lighting fixtures feels both inviting and modern. With a comfy seat next to the fireplace and a plush couch on the opposite side of the room the living room acts as a transitional zone between the foyer the dining area and beyond.
Sliding glass doors glass walls a neutral color palette that relies largely on white and understated minimal décor complete a home where it is undoubtedly the bespoke bookshelves that hold sway. It is hard to believe that this sparkling family residence in Paris was once a run-down home!
